College Football: 2013 R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl

Do you love football?  Do you enjoy following your team to games, playoffs, and bowls?  Do you crave the rivalries, even when your favorite team isn’t playing?  If you’ve answered ‘yes’ to any of these questions, then you will definitely enjoy a visit to NOLA during the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl on December 21, 2013!

This high-spirited post-season college football match-up traditionally sees a Conference USA team (#6) meet a Sun Belt Conference team (#1) at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome here in town.  And the entire city gets into the spirit of whatever rivalry lands there!

For the past two years, our home-state sweethearts, the University of Louisiana at Lafayette’s Ragin’ Cajuns, have earned the Sun Belt Conference slot in the Bowl, and have won both years, making them the current New Orleans Bowl Champions!  They currently hold the top position in the 2013 Sun Belt Standings, but both the Texas State Bobcats and the Troy Trojans are holding their own.  Will the Ragin’ Cajuns have what it takes to make it to the 2013 New Orleans Bowl?  Only time will tell.

While tickets to the Bowl are almost sold out, many visitors choose this weekend to visit the city just for the excitement and atmosphere.  It’s almost electric!  And who needs to be AT the game itself when there are dozens of places to see the game on big-screen… including right here in the inn.

In fact, Avenue Inn Bed and Breakfast is the perfect place to spend a relaxing New Orleans Bowl weekend, even during all the excitement!  We’ll provide a warm NOLA welcome and a cozy room, and you can concentrate on enjoying your football getaway.  Rooms for the weekend are going quickly, so give us a call to reserve your spot, and plan on an exciting weekend here at the Avenue Inn!

Please note that there is a 2-night minimum-stay requirement on this event weekend.
