The Eighteenth Star: Treasures from 200 Years of Louisiana Statehood, is a new exhibit at the Historic New Orleans Collection. This new exhibit will feature many signature items from the holdings of museum’s collection to tell the historic stories of LA since the day it entered the Union on April 30, 1812. A few of the eclectic items in the free exhibit include photographs, manuscripts, remembrances of Hurricane Katrina, photographs and recordings.
The exhibit will run through 1/29/2012 at 533 Royal Street. The gallery is open from Tuesdays through Saturdays, 9:30 am until 4:30 pm; and on Sundays from 10:30 am until 4:30 pm. They are closed on Mondays.
