Get ready for some superb food and drink tasting at this year’s Boudin, Bourbon & Beer Fest, October 3, 2017 in downtown New Orleans. If past year’s are any clue, the event will be a who’s who in the local food world.
More than 60 of the nation’s top chefs, will congregate at Champion’s Square for the evening event. Co-chairs this year are founding member Emeril Lagasse, Donald Link (Cochon Butcher, Link Restaurant Group), John Currance (City Grocery Restaurant Group), and Stephen Stryjewski (Link Restaurant Group). This is definitely the place to be if you enjoy New Orleans cooking. A few of the creative dishes that will be featured include Louisiana Wild Boar Boudin Blanc with Carolina Rice Grits, Boudin Tomale with Tomatillo Salsa, Boudin Noir Dumplings with Roasted Apple, and Boudin Pistolette with Pepper Jelly.
But boudin is only one-third of the feasting at this fest. Bourbon and Beer share the bill and you’ll find premium spirits, craft beers—and also wines from Au Bon Climat for those who prefer to sip a vino instead. Sponsor Abita Beer will bring along its popular Amber and Turbodog Brews, as well as a few of their seasonal and harvest beers. Other local breweries will also be on tap.
Bourbon fans will be happy to see sponsor Buffalo Trace Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey on hand. The award-winning distillery is a favorite and you can enjoy sips of its smooth liquid straight up or in specialty cocktails.
And since you can’t have a fest in New Orleans without music, there will be a great lineup of talent all night long.
