The South’s largest, free music fest is returning to the Big Easy this spring, and it’s one event music fans won’t want to miss. So mark your calendar! The 35th annual French Quarter Festival is April 12-15, 2018.
23 stages will be set up throughout the French Quarter for a four-day celebration of every music genre: traditional and contemporary jazz, RB, New Orleans funk, brass bands, folk, gospel, Zydeco, Latin, classical, cabaret, and international. More than 100 of NOLA’s favorite musical performers will be joined by notable musicians from across the country and world for a feast of fabulous music.
The weekend is also a feast of New Orleans cuisine, with more than 60 food and beverage vendors, including some of our city’s finest restaurants, bringing specialties to the “World’s Largest Jazz Brunch” in Woldenberg Riverfront Park. Sample dishes such as crawfish étouffée, jambalaya, po-boys, and more.
In addition to music and food, the event features other fun events, such as tours of the hidden gardens and patios of French Quarter homes, a Pirate’s Alley art show, and the world’s largest fireworks display on the Mississippi River.
